Good end

Mary in the Good End.

There are four official endings, some having several variations as well as numerous game overs.[1]

Normal End[]

In order to get the Normal Ending, Mary must obtain all the seeds, as well as lose all her flower petals, before entering the door with Boaris. You have to fail every task given by the characters, as Mary will lose a petal everytime she loses a game.

True End[2][]

Mary will again have to obtain every seed before she's able to go through the door with Boaris, but she needs to have at least two petals left, as one will be given to Boaris.

Hands, presumably the ones of Mari's father, will appear in the doorway after Mary goes deeper into her dream. The end credits are also slightly altered, saying "The beginning of a nightmare" after "The end of a dream."

??? End (could be known as Bad End)[]

There are two variations of this ending, the first being that you failed to obtain all three rusty keys. Mary will be lead to a big tree with three locks on it, but as you don't have all the keys, the door won't open. The Chaser will appear and catch Mary, who is unable to escape the dream world.

The other variation requires all three rusty keys, but is still missing the Gold Leaf Key. Mary wakes up from her dream, but cannot leave her room and proceed. In the end, she decides to go back to sleep.

An alternate end credit plays, playing "Elegy for the Dream" instead of the regular credits theme. This credit roll does not show any of the characters and the background and text is purely black with red, blood-like splotches and smears.

Good End[]

Mary must have all three keys, as well as the Gold Leaf Key, in order to obtain the good ending.[3] Mary awakes from the dream and escapes her room, running into the real world and away from her abusive father.

Bonus End[]

This ending can only be obtained after you have gotten the previous four. Type the password "SUPERMARY" on the fish bowl and approach The Chaser in the Nightmare Realm.

Game Over End[]

Sweetdreams

Mary being caught by The Chaser in the Nightmare Realm will trigger this ending.

The ending does not have a credit roll, and brings you back to the title screen without the option to restart on the same file. Thus, it is more like a "game over" than an actual ending.

Mary is shown with her hands covering her mouth. Bunnilda, Penn Guindel, and Foxanne are shown hanged and a shadowy figure of a man (presumably Mari's father) looms overhead.
